I have made a number of life size mosaic dogs which I designed as garden or patio sculptures. They are made to order for clients, capturing the character of their pets.

These 3d mosaics are a labour of love and take a long time to build. I initially fashion pieces of chicken wire to capture the dog shape, clad the shape with mod rock then a rubberised solution and fill the cavity with polyurethane foam to make it rigid. Then begins the time-consuming job of covering the entire surface with cut pieces of tile. I like to include fun things like a shiny pebble or pot lid for a nose as well as my own hand made ceramic tiles.
